NH Liberty Party 2014 gubernatorial candidate Ian Freeman has signed the Coalition of NH Taxpayers’ pledge to “oppose all efforts to impose a sales, income, or other broadbased tax on the taxpayers of the State of New Hampshire”!
Thanks to the Keene Sentinel’s Alyssa Dandrea for the front-page, above-the-fold article that featured me and the other candidates for governor in the democrat primary. I’ll include the text below.
Speaking of those primary opponents, Maggie Hassan received a “F” from the NH Firearms Coalition in their candidate assessment. I am honored to receive an “A”. (Clecia Terrio did not reply to the survey.)
The primary is on September 9th and you can register and vote the same-day.
Tuesday evening, I had the pleasure of being able to speak for up to ten minutes in front of the first New Hampshire gubernatorial debate. There will be no democrat debate, since both of the other democrat candidates refused to respond to the invitation from Franklin Pierce University. I’m grateful to the organizers at FPU for the opportunity to speak despite the other candidates’ absence.
It’s kind of surreal to watch a voluntarist (me) speak truth to power about the criminal state while standing in front of that very state’s flag (gang insignia), yet, it actually happened:
Steve Vaillancourt is a liberty-leaning state representative who is a relatively widely-read blogger at NH Insider. He’s a studied opponent of the insane War on Drugs and has frequently testified in favor of ending drug prohibition, at least on cannabis.
As of Thursday morning, nationally syndicated talk show host Ian Freeman has thrown his hat into the ring for governor of NH in a primary challenge to incumbent Maggie Hassan. In addition to being a registered democrat, Freeman is a co-chair of the New Hampshire Liberty Party. Freeman openly challenges Hassan on her inhumane continuation of the insane “War on Drugs”, especially the war on cannabis users. On Freeman’s campaign info page, he states,
If Maggie were a true democrat, she’d care about the little guy, but yet her state police continue to put the little guy behind bars for victimless crimes like cannabis possession. As governor, I’ll pardon all victimless criminals as one of my first acts.
Freeman also supports NH seceding from the United States as well as equal ballot access for all candidates. Regarding Freeman’s positions on other issues, please see the NH Liberty Party platform. Or, contact the candidate directly with any questions or media requests at 603-513-2449 or ian at freetalklive.com
